The Great Equalizer

I really want the Center for Technology & Workforce Solutions (CTWS) to be the great equalizer. I want the center to be the reason employers don't have pay equity problems in tech. Not only tech businesses, but in tech careers across all sectors.

Creating the Pathway to Move Forward

CompTIA is going after this in a way that nobody else could. The purpose of the center is not necessarily to recreate the wheel and develop something new. It's to find the successes that are already out there and then disseminating that information to more people.

Why Did You Get Involved?

I'm involved with CTWS specifically for the focus on equity. Right now, in tech we see that diversity is a huge topic, but diversity is really an outcome of equity.

Our Live Launch Event

We are a new think tank dedicated to both expanding and diversifying the tech and tech enabled workforce now and in the future.  We want to help every American understand that a tech career is available to them, regardless of background and education level.

Solutions that are Helping Across Technology and Workforce

We don't have an organization that’s pulling together best practices and what needs to happen at a national level. There needs to be a body that's overarching and will tackle and come up with solutions or point to solutions that are helping across technology and workforce.

Helping the Underrepresented Through Technology

It's important for us to be able to give people an on-ramp. And my vision for what's going to happen next is that we develop a system, a process to make it easy.

Diversity is an Outcome of Equity

The center is going to be doing some great work in the area of diversity. If people have equitable access to the workforce, equitable access to development opportunities, then we will see a more diverse workforce.

Turning Ideas Into Action

The Center for Technology & Workforce Solutions brings together a lot of really great ideas, information and programs that are already available.  I hope that we can bring more people to the table.

Helping Across Technology and Workforce

My vision for what's going to happen next is that we make it easy. We don't have an organization that's pulling together best practices or what needs to happen at a national level. There Are No Entry Level Tech Jobs That Require a Four-Year Degree

There are no entry level tech jobs that require a four-year degree. What a simple, concise message that is. There are so many different people affected by that statement, whether it's students, teachers, employers, you name it. The answers to these questions and everything that it raises is what the center for Technology & Workforce Solutions is about.
